MULUNDU Holdings chairperson investment Dr. David Kombe has assured that there will be more investment in African Grey Insurance, to turn it into one of the best insurance firms in the country.
Speaking on Tuesday evening at the client appreciation and farewell cocktail for the outgoing African Grey managing director Benny Sakala, Dr. Kombe said that there would be more investment so that in the next five years we would see and feel the presence of a different company.
He said African Grey Insurance was a Zambian company and that Zambians should support and avoid supporting foreign companies which created employment in other countries.
“People looking for insurance products should first look at Zambian
companies because they retain money and invest in infrastructure,” he said.
Dr. Kombe said only Zambians could help develop the country and with the Government’s push towards private sector participation and entrepreneurship, his company would respond positively. He said Mulundu Holdings was ready to take up the challenge through the
Public Private Development Forum (PPDF).
Dr. Kombe also praised outgoing Managing Director Mr. Benny Sakala for his contribution to the company in his six years of service. He urged management and workers to also support the new managing director Geoffrey Chirwa in order for the company to grow further.
